W. Dundee mall to unveil new play area

Submitted by Spring Hill Mall

Children can check out the new 1,300-square-foot indoor play area at Spring Hill Mall starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. The morning’s event will feature a ribbon cutting with Clifford the Big Red Dog to officially open the area.

The short ceremony will be followed with balloon twisting, crafts and goody bags for the first 300 children.

In support of the Community Crisis Center, Spring Hill Mall is requesting guests to bring a new infant or toddler-appropriate toy to donate to the organization.

The soft-surface play area is designed to delight children with a woodsy, outdoor theme. There’s a tree for pretend-forest play, a bridge to cross over and a stream for wading and boating. Keeping little ones company on the outdoor adventure are a floppy fish, a bright lady bug and a friendly bear lazily wrapped around a log.

There is no admission fee, but parents are required to stay with children at all times.

Spring Hill Mall, a Rouse property, is at routes 72 and 31 in West Dundee. For information, visit www.springhillmall.com or call (847) 428-2200.
