Porsche stolen while owner pumping gas in Des Plaines, police say

A thief stole a black 2023 Porsche Macan while the driver was filling it with gasoline at a service station in Des Plaines on Tuesday, police said.

The theft occurred about 12:30 p.m. on the 100 block of West Oakton Street.

The thief got behind the wheel and drove off while the victim, a 61-year-old Niles woman, was outside the car, police said.

The theft was under investigation Tuesday afternoon.
