Arlington Hts. police report on crackdown

Arlington Heights police conducted 10 saturation patrols, resulting in two arrests for DUI, two citations for other alcohol-related driving offenses and 34 citations for a variety of traffic law violations from Dec. 18 to Jan. 3.

The purpose of the program was to identify motorists who choose to drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

It was funded by a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Illinois Department of Transportation - Division of Traffic Safety.
