Aurora to host two community feedback sessions May 18
Aurora residents will have two opportunities to give feedback during engagement sessions on Thursday, May 18.
• In conjunction with PENN Entertainment, the City of Aurora will host a Question & Answer Community Open House for the new Hollywood Casino Aurora Resort recently approved by the Aurora City Council.
Residents can meet with representatives of the City, PENN Entertainment, architects, and consultants in an informal, open house format to receive answers to questions and updates about the upcoming process construction process.
The open house will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, at the Aurora Police Headquarters, 1200 E. Indian Trail Road.
• The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and Illinois Broadband, in collaboration with the City of Aurora, will bring its statewide Community Listening Session tour to downtown Aurora to hear from residents about their experiences accessing the internet and bridging the digital divide. Participants will have the opportunity to win free iPads and Wi-Fi hotspots
The Listening Session will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at the Waubonsee Community College Downtown Campus, 18 S. River St. RSVP to the community listening session at www.aurora-il.org/GetConnected.
