Do not call means just what it says

Memo to Mark, Alexi, et al: I'm on the do-not-call list. I know that politicians gave themselves an exemption when they wrote that law, so that explains why you can call me. My question is, if I've already indicated that I don't want to get unsolicited calls, why would you call anyway?
