Carpentersville molester sentenced to 30 years

A Carpentersville man pleaded guilty Wednesday to having sexual contact with a child he knew, according to a news release from the Kane County state's attorney.

Alfredo Vidigaray, 37, of the 100 block of San Juan Road, was sentenced to 30 years in prison in exchange for a guilty plea to two counts of criminal sexual assault.

Between June 1, 2001, and Nov. 11, 2012, Vidigaray had sexual contact at least twice with the victim, according to the news release.

Vidigaray must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence. He was given credit for at least 218 days served in the Kane County jail, where he had been held since his arrest.
