Rosemont American Idol Tour date rescheduled

The “American Idol” Season 12 tour date set for July 6 at Allstate Arena has been rescheduled for Aug. 12, it was announced Friday. The shuffling of dates comes as the result of 10 tour dates being canceled, including stops in Las Vegas, Kansas City, Oklahoma City and St. Louis.

The Idol tour was originally set to hit Trenton, N.J., Aug. 12, but that date has been canceled and the Rosemont date will take its place. Ticketmaster.com says all original purchases will be honored.

“American Idol” is coming off a lackluster year of ratings and is said to be retooling the show and its judging panel. Former judges Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have already confirmed their exits from the show.
