Man charged with taping Six Flags swimmers
A Chicago schoolteacher who police say recorded videos of men and juvenile males undressing inside Six Flags Great America's Hurricane Harbor was arrested after an off-duty police officer noticed the suspect holding a cell phone under a stall taking video of the officer, police said.
Police said Jaime A. Jimenez, 39, of 2233 S. Canal recorded the 25-year-old off duty police officer without his knowledge. The officer confronted Jimenez and caught him after a short foot chase at 2:19 p.m. June 19, police said.
Gurnee police subsequently found video footage of young and adult males on the phone, and removed several items from the man's apartment for further analysis, police said. Jimenez told police he's a Chicago teacher.
Jimenez was charged with one count of unauthorized video recording and live video transmission, a class three felony. Jimenez is being held on a $20,000 bond and Chicago Public School officials have been notified of his arrest, officials said.
