Baby’s body found in recycling center cooler

Authorities in the South suburbs say a dead baby was found inside a cooler at a recycling center.

Chicago Ridge Fire Chief Rob Pyznarski says an employee at Resource Management Co. found the baby about 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. He says the umbilical cord was still attached to the baby.

An autopsy is planned for Thursday. Authorities are investigating.
