Wind system hearing in Gurnee

Gurnee plan commission and zoning board of appeals members are holding a joint hearing on potential regulations for wind energy systems for residential and business areas.

The hearing is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. Last month, Gurnee officials extended a moratorium on wind and solar energy devices until year's end so the regulations can be in place.
