Alliant Credit Union celebrates 75th anniversary
Alliant Credit Union recently celebrated its 75th anniversary at its main location in Chicago on Touhy Avenue adjacent to Des Plaines, and other locations around the country.
Alliant began operating in 1935 as United Air Lines Employees' Credit Union. For most of its history, the credit union offered financial services exclusively to United Airlines employees, retirees and their family members.
Alliant is America's seventh largest credit union based on asset size, with assets of more than $7 billion and with nearly 260,000 members.
“As a member-owned cooperative, Alliant's sole purpose is to serve our members' individual and collective interests,” CEO David Mooney said.
