Pedestrian bridge construction to close Aurora street

Construction of the Aurora Foxwalk will close Galena Boulevard at River Street starting at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. The road is expected to be open by noon Saturday, and detour signs will be posted, but the city is advising drivers to avoid the area.

Crews will be installing a pedestrian bridge to connect the northern section of the Foxwalk, which ends north of Galena Boulevard, to the southern section near Downer Place. After bridge installation is complete, crews will work on a concrete walkway for about two weeks, with an expected completion date of Nov. 19.
