Thomas offers views too often overlooked

Mark Grieger, I totally disagree with your recent comments about the worth of Cal Thomas' opinions.

In today's world of upside down values, when all that is decent, moral and honorable is being ridiculed and mocked, when our faux heroes' debaucheries are being acclaimed as cool behavior to be admired and imitated, Cal Thomas opinions are desperately needed more than ever.

His is the voice of reason, of common sense, of decency that needs to be heralded not silenced. Far too many of our educators, our politicians, even our parents have surrendered their roles of responsibility, of integrity on the altars of popularity, leaving our children with no guidance, no direction, no moral compass to follow.

My wish for this New Year is that we may always have the privilege of having Cal Thomas' opinions made available to us - his wisdom will never be out of date!
