Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Arlington Heights
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Arlington Heights Thursday afternoon and transported to a hospital for minor injuries, police said.
Emergency crews arrived at the intersection of Sigwalt Street and Evergreen Avenue at 4:42 p.m. Thursday after the pedestrian was hit at a crosswalk, police said.
The pedestrian was transported to Northwest Community Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries, police said.
A 65-year-old man driving a 2007 Buick Lacrosse was issued a ticket for failure to exercise due care to avoid a pedestrian at a cross walk.
