Bartlett man part of final two couples on 'Bachelor Pad 3'
Bartlett native and former Sears Centre Arena employee Chris Bukowski made it into the final four on ABC's reality TV show “Bachelor Pad 3” Monday night.
He was also a final four contestant on “The Bachelorette” earlier this year.
Bukowski, 25, and his partner on the show, Sarah Newlon, will compete against another couple for $250,000 on the show's finale next Monday.
The show consists of previous contestants from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” — and for this season, a few “super fans” — living in one house together, competing for money and another shot at “love.”
Each week contestants participate in challenges to gain immunity and opportunities to go on a date with housemates of their choice. Winners from each challenge grant immunity to one of their dates during a rose presentation. At the end of each episode the male contestants also vote off one female contestant, while the female contestants vote off one male contestant.
This past Monday, Bukowski and Newlon — who are not well-liked by their housemates — won the first of two challenges, which gave them a unique opportunity to eliminate another couple immediately.
In a second challenge — which involved singing Night Ranger's song “Sister Christian” onstage at the Hollywood Palladium — Bukowski, who took off his shirt, and Newlon, who danced around in tight green pants, didn't perform too well, but the crowd seemed to think they were fun.
The couple that won that contest decided to keep Bukowski and Newlon on the show, thinking it will be easier to beat them in the finale than the third couple in the singing competition.
The finale will air at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, on ABC.
