Justice Ginsburg to discuss Roe v. Wade in Chicago
CHICAGO — U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is scheduled to discuss the landmark abortion case Roe v. Wade in Chicago.
Ginsburg is to appear at the University of Chicago Law School on Saturday afternoon. She will be the focus of the discussion "Roe v. Wade at 40: A Conversation with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg." University of Chicago Law School Professor Geoffrey Stone will moderate the event.
Ginsburg is the second woman to serve as Supreme Court justice. Former President Bill Clinton appointed her to the high court in 1993.
The U.S. Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade in 1973. It established a nationwide right to abortion.
