Cat, dogs find new homes at Aurora free adoption event

Nearly two dozen cats and dogs in Aurora found their forever homes last weekend.

The Aurora Animal Care and Control hosted the "Christmas in July" free adoption day on Saturday, July 15.

The line formed early and wrapped around the building for the first-come, first-to-adopt four-hour event.

All adoption fees were waived during the event, and mandatory city registration was free.

Prices normally range from $75-$200, depending on the age of the canine or feline.
