Libertyville's Patterson joins Comcast SportsNet staff

Comcast SportsNet has added Jen Patterson to its Emmy award-winning sports news staff.

Patterson, a native of Libertyville, will begin her newsroom responsibilities at Comcast SportsNet on Jan. 11, will coordinate guest booking for a variety of Comcast SportsNet's locally-produced programs, along with feature segment producing and on-air appearances.

"Jen has proven herself to be a rising on-air and off-air TV talent in our city and we're thrilled she'll be with us to lend her expertise to our newsroom," said Charlie Schumacher, senior news director for Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

Patterson most recently was the associate producer and weather/traffic/sports update anchor for Comcast SportsNet's Monsters in the Morning program in 2009. Previously, Patterson was the executive producer for the "The Mike North Morning Show" on WSCR AM 670 from 2006-2008.
