New Illinois Veterans' Home administrator named

MANTENO, Ill. — A new administrator has been named for one of Illinois' four homes for aging veterans.

Lester Robertson Jr. was selected to lead the Illinois Veterans' Home-Manteno.

The Auburn, Ill., man has worked as an administrator in skilled-care nursing facilities in Illinois and Missouri for 42 years.

Erica Borggren is director of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs and a U.S. Army veteran. She says Robertson's experience and proven record will help staff at Manteno provide high quality care for veteran residents.

The home, located about 50 miles southwest of Chicago, has a capacity of 340 beds. The state's other veterans homes are in Anna, LaSalle and Quincy.
