Accenture plans to add 500 jobs at its office in Chicago by the end of next year.
Accenture is a management consulting and technology services company that already employs 5,000 people in Chicago. An Accenture official says the new jobs will range from entry-level to management positions.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced the new jobs Tuesday. His office says he’s now announced more than 7,000 new jobs during his tenure in office.
Emanuel says Accenture’s expertise helps Chicago move toward becoming a center for technology and innovation.
