Elgin Public House serving up craft beers

Celebrate Chicago Craft Beer Week in the burbs at Elgin Public House's Beer Fest Saturday. Representatives from a number of breweries will be on hand — with samples of course. Check out offerings from Goose Island, Two Brothers, Wynchwood, Lagunitas and more. The event costs $20 with advance reservations, $25 at the door. Lift a glass

Wine and beer lovers should check out Uncorked and Untapped at the Arboretum of South Barrington Monday. Restaurants in the center will offer wine and beer tastings as well as samples from their menus. Check in at the Munao Fountain Plaza and meander at your own pace.
