Race in Elk Grove Village to mark Child Abuse Awareness Months

Two nonprofit organizations, PAVE: Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment and It’s Our Little Secret, are joining forces for the Race for Change at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, April 21, at Busse Woods, Grove 5, Arlington Heights and Higgins roads, Elk Grove Village.

The family friendly event will include certified 10K and 5K races, a 1-mile walk and a kids 50-yard dash, as well as inspirational speakers Keenan Cahill and Angela Rose. The race marks Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sexual Abuse Awareness Month.
