Talk to your kids about destruction

Another Halloween has come and gone, and another batch of mailboxes has been destroyed in our neighborhood, this time including one belonging to a 90-year-old widow. I’m sure the vandals didn’t know, or care, who the owner was, just as they didn’t years ago when they did the same to my mother (and later to my husband and me), but it’s time local parents talked to their children about the need to grow up.
