Kirk's voting record has cost us money

I'm surprised the Daily Herald endorsed Mark Kirk in the primary election. Have you looked at his record through the years he has served the 10th District?

He voted against drilling for oil in Alaska which helped increase gas prices. He voted for the Cap & Trade bill, which results in higher food prices and everything else we buy. He does not brag about these votes - he wants us to forget these things.

Both bills will cost the taxpayers many dollars of their hard earned money. Where is the Daily Herald comment on these bills? Can we afford Mark Kirk? I'm very disappointed at the selective news reporting.

Live up to the motto. We rely on the Daily Herald to report all the news accurately, and that includes the complete voting record of all the candidates. Mark Kirk doesn't want to talk about his vote on Cap & Trade and against drilling in Alaska, but it is important. This affects all of us.
