Student from Winnetka killed in Denver
DENVER — Authorities have released the name of a 20-year-old man who was killed when he was struck by a vehicle near the University of Denver.
The Denver coroner identified the man as Wilson King of Winnetka, Ill.
Police say King, a DU student, was hit when he tried to cross East Evans Avenue just after 12:30 a.m. Friday. He was not in a crosswalk.
The Denver Post reported the driver remained at the accident scene, and it’s not clear if any charges will be filed.
