Put more emphasis on science, math
In a highly competitive global economy, we need to ensure that the next generation has the skills necessary to compete in this environment. Among the most import school subjects are math and science. While I hear that math and science education are a national priority, locally I hear things like Calculus III will not be taught next year at Buffalo Grove High School.
I think it is good that our president has recognized the importance of math and science, but our local schools need to support these goals too.
