Fundraiser to feature winning beer

The home brew judged as the best in show last fall will be unveiled as the featured beverage at a fundraiser Wednesday, April 25, for the Brainerd Community Center organization. The group is working to reuse the shuttered Brainerd building in Libertyville. Tax deductible tickets are $25 for the event from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mickey Finn’s brewery, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave. Proceeds go to continued renovation of the Brainerd building. The donation includes a glass of Robust Porter, the winning beer at last fall’s Wine, Beer, Cigar and Food Fest, live music and hors d’oeuvres.
