• TesserAct Theatre Ensemble has auditions for a June production of Meredith Willson's musical "The Music Man" from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, at Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 80 W. • The Rockford Writers' Guild presents its annual Ides of March Poetry and Prose Contest, which is open to all writers.
