Crabb connects to give Wolves OT win over Toronto
The Chicago Wolves rallied to force overtime, where Joey Crabb scored the game-winner in a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Marlies at the Allstate Arena on Sunday.
Trailing 2-1 with 7:15 left in the third period, the Wolves tied it on a rebound goal from Nathan Oystrick with assists by Brett Sterling and Johnny Pohl.
The victory was the fourth straight for the Wolves (20-16-0-2) on home ice and their fifth win in the last six games.
"They are a tough, physical team and it took us awhile to get our wheels," said Wolves coach Don Lever. "Once we got our legs under us we started taking it to them a bit."
Trailing 1-1 after one period, the Wolves even the score at the 3:25 mark of the second period on Andrew Kozek's goal.
Wolves goalie Drew MacIntyre recorded 18 saves.
