Marengo father, son arrested after drug seizure
A Marengo father and son were charged Wednesday with attempting to sell more than $8,000 worth of marijuana, McHenry County Sheriff officials said.
Terrence J. Tucker Jr., 50, and Terrence J. Tucker III, 23, both from the 700 block of East Washington Street, were arrested after 1,500 grams of marijuana were seized from their home Wednesday, officials announced in a news release.
They were arrested along with Darius M. Willis, 25, of the 2200 block of Steig Road in unincorporated McHenry County near Woodstock.
Police officials said the arrests came after a nine-month investigation.
During the seizure, police said they also confiscated more than $17,000 cash, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.
The younger Tucker has been charged with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
The elder Tucker was charged with two misdemeanor counts of unlawful possession of marijuana. He posted bond Wednesday and was released.
Willis was charged with two felony counts of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. He was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tucker III posted bail and was released Thursday afternoon, while Willis was still being held in the McHenry County Jail.
