Crash causes River Road traffic detour in Rosemont

Southbound traffic on River Road was rerouted for about a half-hour this morning due to a rollover crash, Rosemont police said.

Authorities said a two-vehicle collision at 9:30 a.m. near the Tri-State Tollway and River Road caused a vehicle to turn on its side.

A person had to be extricated and transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. The extent of the injuries is unknown.
