Hoffman Estates man charged with sexual abuse

A Cook County judge set bail at $300,000 Tuesday for a 26-year-old Hoffman Estates man charged with sexually abusing a young girl.

Juan Tello-Martinez was charged Sunday with predatory criminal sexual abuse after another adult walked in on him abusing the 7-year-old, said Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Catherine Levine.

Tello-Martinez, who prosecutors say has no criminal background, must post $30,000 to be released from custody. He next appears in court on April 18.
