Grab a mitt and get in the game
The general consensus has always been if it makes sense it isn't going to happen in Washington D.C. The thought of our leaders doing something that would benefit the vast majority of American people seemed absurd. Only we the people could solve the problems of the world.
I reminded my representative in the House that the majority of voters in the 6th District of Illinois, a Republican stronghold for generations, voted for change. I received a letter from his office saying they agreed on 80 percent of the health care bill. Then just before the vote I see him on TV, saying they want to start from scratch on legislation they have been working on for over a year.
There is more work to do that will benefit the vast majority of American people. We don't want to hear about all the hot-button items you bring up at election time. In case you haven't heard, nobody really cares about them anymore. Grab a mitt and get in the game.
