Carol Stream announces winners of Halloween decorating contest
Three Carol Stream homes are the winners of the village's Halloween decorating contest.
More than 40 homes participated in the seventh annual competition. Judges selected winners in three categories.
The Big Pumpkin award went to a home at 392 Flint Trail. The Family Fun honor was presented to 887 Horseshoe Court. And the judges' favorite was 1233 Seabury Circle.
The village has posted an online story map featuring the frightful decorations. Tour some of the entries, and you'll find giant spiders, a witch's caldron and other elaborate displays. The map link is at bit.ly/31300Zd.
Communitywide trick-or-treat hours on Halloween are from 3 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 31.
