Bulls' seven-game road swing no circus trip

The Bulls may or may not open their seven-game "ice show" road trip with guard Kirk Hinrich sidelined. He missed Sunday's practice with flu-like symptoms.

Other than that issue, here's a look at what's in store out West as the Bulls try to keep the momentum built with eight wins in their last 11 games:

Monday at Golden State: During the Warriors' loss to Milwaukee on Friday, they were down to four eligible players because of several injuries and three guys fouling out. The rules command five on the court, though, so rookie Stephon Curry got to stick around with 6 fouls.

Wednesday at L.A. Clippers: In their last two games, the Clippers have lost to the Lakers by 40 and Cleveland by 1. Who knows what's in store for Monday's home date with New Jersey?

Friday at Phoenix: The Suns went 14-3 in October/November, 7-7 in December and are 3-5 in January. Perhaps this is actual proof that Grant Hill (37) and Steve Nash (36 on Feb. 7) aren't getting any younger.

Saturday at Houston: Here's a rundown of the Rockets' top seven scorers: Aaron Brooks, 26th draft pick; Carl Landry, 31st pick; Trevor Ariza, 43rd pick; Luis Scola, 56th pick; Kyle Lowry, 24th pick; Shane Battier, 6th pick; and Chase Budinger, 44th pick. Kind of makes you wonder why the Bulls didn't do more with 12 top-nine draft choices between 1999-2008.

Jan. 25 at San Antonio: The Spurs had gone 21-7 since Nov. 21 but just lost back-to-back games against Charlotte and Memphis. That's not nearly as bad as the Tony Parker and Eva Longoria's strange video recreating "Summer Nights" from Grease.

Jan. 27 at Oklahoma City: The Thunder has lost the same number of games - nine - at home and on the road. So maybe the Bulls can repeat last year's feat of losing at home, then winning in OKC.

Jan. 29 at New Orleans: Derrick Rose has never lost to the Hornets or Chris Paul, although Paul was out with an injury when the Bulls won in New Orleans last season.
