Salmons out sick; Hinrich returns to Bulls practice

Guard Kirk Hinrich returned to Bulls practice Tuesday after missing the 114-97 loss at Golden State due to an illness.

John Salmons started in Hinrich's place and scored a team-high 25 points against the Warriors. Following the game, though, Salmons began to experience stomach flu symptoms and spent Monday night at an Oakland, Calif., hospital.

He's expected to join the Bulls in Los Angeles either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, but it's not clear whether he'll be able to play in Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. Hinrich should be back in the starting lineup.

Several members of the Bulls' traveling party experienced some degree of stomach flu as the trip began. The Clippers will be the second stop on a seven-game road trip.
