DREAM Act bad for America
State Sen. Tom Johnson’s vocal support of the plan to create scholarships for immigrants’ children should cause outrage in every single citizen. If this is his way of making sure he will be re-elected, just ask Bill Foster, who continuously supported legislation that his constituents didn’t want.
We have many citizens in this state who are suffering due to the blundering financial deals that have been made with many groups who have had many interests over the years in exchange for re-election votes. What kind of common sense does it make to set aside funds to help illegal immigrants enjoy the privilege of going to college when so many of our legal immigrants as well as citizens are struggling to keep up in this bankrupt state?
Illegal immigrants may be your future, Sen. Johnson, but many of your constituents put their faith in legal immigrants and American-born citizens. Two wrongs still do not make a right — no matter how you spin it.
