School expenses not worth Herald’s fuss
Jake Griffin is out of his mind complaining about all these school districts attending a conference in Chicago and spending too much money. The districts did not incur any airfare costs to attend this event, I think it was on a weekend so people volunteered their time.
If I volunteer two days on a weekend I think I deserve a dinner at Morton’s. A $100 dinner in Chicago is nothing — try eating at Morton’s or the Chop House for less. I entertain clients all the time, and taking people to Morton’s is expensive. Maybe he should be writing about why Morton’s can charge $15 for a lobster Bisque, not why the people ordered it.
Jake should focus on real issues like why we are not fixing the state pension issue.
