Girl Scouts to launch new cookie in December
One of the biggest perks of being a Girl Scout is having first access to a new Girl Scout Cookie when it launches.
Generations of girls have relished introducing new cookie flavors to the public as they learn important business and marketing skills along the way.
As it begins welcoming prospective and returning members for the new membership year ahead, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is delighted to announce the debut of Adventurefuls, the newest cookie to join the nationwide lineup for the 2021-22 Girl Scout Cookie season.
An indulgent, brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt, Adventurefuls take cookie lovers on a taste adventure.
Local Girl Scouts will offer the Adventurefuls cookie alongside iconic favorites like Thin Mints and Samoas beginning Dec. 15.
Every purchase of Adventurefuls and the whole portfolio of iconic cookies during cookie season fuels local Girl Scouts' adventures throughout the year: exploring what interests them, discovering their passions, and taking action on social issues that matter to them like hunger, health and wellness, and animal care.
Whether they're using their STEM skills to solve a problem, changing a law to help their community, having an outdoor experience, or starting an innovative nonprofit, Girl Scouts build a better future for themselves and the world.
"Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, girls become entrepreneurs as they gain hands-on experience running their own small business. They also earn money to fuel their Girl Scout adventures, which catapult them where they want to go in life," said Nancy Wright, CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
Girl Scouts of the USA also recently announced new Cookie Business badges that help girls think like entrepreneurs as they run their own cookie businesses and incorporate online sales via the Digital Cookie platform.
The badges progress from goal setting and effective sales-pitching in person and online to using market research, creating business plans, and implementing digital marketing campaigns.
