NRA position is outrageous

The article written by Richard Cohen on gun control was excellent and right to the point.

Our elected officials in Washington are once again playing political games instead of doing their job. Background checks for purchasing guns should be a given and so should mental health evaluation if there are questions surrounding various individuals.

I quote a statement made by Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice president and CEO of the NRA: ”Everyone should have the right to carry a concealed weapon so the good guys can shoot the bad guys.”

The only weapon that can be carried concealed is a handgun. I find this statement absolutely outrageous, and so is the NRA.
