Thanks for support of ‘Tootsie Roll’ drive

Albert Cardinal Meyer Council 5751, Knights of Columbus wishes to extend thanks to our greater Elk Grove Village community for its outstanding support of the recently completed Tootsie Roll Fund Drive. Forty-four volunteers — men, women, teenagers, members and nonmembers — received donations totaling almost $4,300.

Once again, this level of support shows the concern that the community has to reach out to people with special needs.

Big thanks to the many volunteers who gave up their personal time to work street corners and store fronts. Thanks, too, to the Elk Grove Village businesses that gave the Knights permission to collect donations at their establishments.

The Council would also like to thank Elk Grove Village for extending permission to our volunteers to collect at the street corners.
