Hoopeston woman stabbed to death

HOOPESTON -- Authorities in Vermilion County are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old Hoopeston woman.

Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson says an autopsy Thursday morning determined that Kelly Lynn Wright died of multiple stab wounds.

Wright was found dead Wednesday morning by Hoopeston police and emergency personnel responding to a 911 call made from the home of a woman who was a friend of the victim's.

Police said they were questioning a 24-year-old woman about the stabbing.
