Benefit for K9s for Warriors set for Dec. 10 in Palatine

A Closer Bond dog training center will host its second annual Corks & Canines event from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 in Durty Nellie's band room, 180 N. Smith St. in Palatine.

Proceeds from the event will benefit K9s for Warriors, a nonprofit organization that provides service dogs to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

Attendees are invited to bring their dog to the free event for photos with Santa, a "barketurie" raffle and treats. Pet parents can partake in a wine tasting, a Q&A with A Closer Bond trainers and an obedience training demonstration with audience volunteers.
