Slain Indiana professor's wife recovering from attack

GOSHEN, Ind. — A pastor says the wife of a slain northern Indiana professor is recovering from the serious injuries she suffered during the home invasion in which her husband was killed.

More than 300 people gathered Wednesday night at a prayer service for 58-year-old Goshen College biology professor James Miller and his wife Linda at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church in Goshen.

The Goshen News reports Lead Pastor Terry Diener says Linda Miller had a medical tube removed from her lung Wednesday and could be released from a South Bend hospital this week.

Police have released few details about the attack early Sunday at the Millers' home. WSBT-TV reports police have received many calls since releasing a suspect sketch on Tuesday and that investigators are following several leads.
