Sysmex America, Amerinet 3-year sign deal

MUNDELEIN — Sysmex, a provider of medical diagnostic testing equipment and information systems technology, today announced a three-year hematology contract agreement with Amerinet, a national health care group purchasing organization that partners with about 41,000 health care providers.

Amerinet members have immediate purchasing/leasing access to Sysmex automated hematology analyzers, controls, and service. Training and technical support for Amerinet members will be provided through Sysmex America's headquarters in Mundelein.

The contract, which includes Sysmex's newest addition to the hematology product line, the Sysmex XT-4000iT Automated Hematology Analyzer, is effective immediately through September 2013. Terms were not disclosed.

“The fact that this is our third consecutive hematology contract award from Amerinet is a strong indicator that the reliability and uptime of our hematology instruments remain critical to a clinical laboratory's survival in a new health care era. We look forward to meeting these expectations, John Kershaw, president and CEO of Sysmex, said in a statement.
