Rice headlines Willow Creek Leadership Summit
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will headline Willow Creek Community Church’s annual Global Leadership Summit, which convenes Thursday and Friday at the church’s main campus in South Barrington.
This year’s summit will focus on the leadership of the business world and will be broadcast live via satellite to more than 200 other sites in North America.
“The Summit isn’t just a leadership conference for church leaders by church leaders,” Willow Creek Association President Jim Mellado said in a statement released Wednesday. “We bring together world-class leaders from the marketplace, government, education and faith-based organizations to challenge leaders and teams of leaders who are interested in developing and strengthening their leadership skills.”
By the end of the year, the summit will have been translated into 42 languages and videocast to more than 155,000 leaders in 300 cities in 90 countries, according to Willow Creek officials.
