Southwest suburban Churchill Club features clubhouse amenities

Looking for a family-friendly lifestyle? The master-planned Churchill Club community in Oswego offers homebuyers affordable homes with plenty of space for growing families, an on-site elementary school and loads of recreation and amenities.

The new Arlington series in this Town and Country Homes community offers seven, two-story floor plans with three to four bedrooms, 2½ baths, partial basements and two- and three-car attached garages.

"The community offers a good opportunity for value-conscious buyers to purchase well-designed and well-constructed single-family homes at attainable prices," said Donna Zizek, director of marketing for Town and Country.

Located in the Golden Triangle - the wedge of prime property between Wolf's Crossing Road, Route 34 and Route 30 - means residents enjoy all the amenities of the Southwest suburbs along with easy access to I-88, Route 59 and I-55.

The community's 8,400-square-foot clubhouse features a fitness center, game room, business center and community rooms. A junior Olympic-size swimming pool and children's splash and play area offer summertime fun for adults and children.

Other amenities include park district parks and playgrounds, sports facilities, lots of natural open space and a multiuse trail that winds throughout the community.

Visitors are invited to tour two new Arlington series model homes with professional interiors by Laura O'Connor Design in East Dundee.

The Springfield floor plan, priced from $253,995, features 3,238 square feet, four bedrooms, 2½ baths, large bonus room and three-car attached garage.

Designed for the move-up buyer, this open design is ideal for entertaining as well as everyday living. Transitional furnishings, neutral colors and lots of texture variations give the model home a warm, inviting feel. Distressed hardwood floors and planking on the living and dining room walls add a rustic touch.

A half wall with an arched opening separates the formal space from the expansive informal area to the rear.

Tucked in a private corner on the main level, the den - with a whole wall of built-ins - offers homeowners a quiet place for working at home.

The showpiece kitchen features stainless steel appliances, black cabinets topped with granite, sandstone backsplash, center island with storage, and a walk-in pantry. In the breakfast area, a long table with an espresso finish is set for six while sliding doors lead outside.

The adjoining family room features an optional fireplace, plasma TV, sofa and two chairs by the fireplace.

Upstairs, the loft is outfitted as a second family room and includes a computer niche for two.

The master suite features a stunning double tray ceiling with accent paint on the slant of the ceiling. A chocolate and cream spread covers the bed while two walk-in closets offer plenty of space for homeowners' threads. The wallpapered private bath has two sinks, tub, walk-in shower and private commode.

Near a full hall bath, secondary bedrooms include a room with a photography motif done in chocolate and white, a boy's room with skateboarding theme and a mod boy's room.

The Hanover floor plan is priced from $217,995 and features 2,396 square feet, four bedrooms, 2½ baths, loft and two-car garage. This plan offers good value for the more price-conscious buyer and is geared to the younger buyer with small children.

With a transitional style nodding more toward contemporary, the interior of the Hanover model home features burnt oranges, golds and greens.

Upon entry into the living room, or flex space, a white area rug shows a nice contrast with the dark hardwood flooring. A central staircase separates this room from the informal living area to the rear.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and center island and opens to the sunny breakfast nook that shows a 60-inch square table paired with white leather contemporary chairs.

A stone fireplace highlights the family room where an unusual sofa shaped like a half moon gets attention. Cream draperies with chocolate trim dress the windows while wallpaper and molding add interest on one wall.

Upstairs, four bedrooms plus a loft and second-floor laundry ensure comfort and convenience for a large family.

Shown as a TV nook, the loft features a movie theme and includes plenty of cabinetry.

A double tray ceiling (optional) crowns the master bedroom, which features a large walk-in closet plus a wall closet and private bath with tub and walk-in shower.

Other bedrooms featuring wallpaper borders and hand painting. These include a little girl's room with white furnishings and a Girl Scout theme, a room for a preschooler decorated with ABCs and numbers, and another room furnished with a day bed featuring a rock star theme. A full hall bath serves the secondary bedrooms.

Many options are available depending on home sites or exterior elevations. All homes with basements feature a new waterproofing system with a 10-year warranty that will eliminate one of a homeowner's greatest worries: a leaky basement. Town and Country is the only builder in the Chicago market offering this state-of-the-art system.

Other designs in the Arlington series include the Bristol from $199,995 with 2,052 square feet, the Glencoe from $210,995 with 2,255 square feet, the Prestige from $226,995 with 2,638 square feet, the Raeburn from $243,995 with 3,045 square feet, and the Sterling from $248,995 with 3,145 square feet.
