Waukegan man charged with drug possession

A Waukegan man faces drug charges after police executed a search warrant at his residence, authorities said Friday.

Burkett Davidson, 40, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon. On Thursday, Waukegan police said they discovered 1.8 grams of heroin, 9.3 grams of cannabis, a .45-caliber semiautomatic handgun and $4,700 at Davidson’s residence on the 900 block of Commonwealth Avenue.
