Man gets prison time for role in limo-bus holdup
EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — One of three men accused in the southwestern Illinois robbery of a driver of a limousine bus carrying members of a bachelor party has been sentenced to six years and five months in federal prison.
Twenty-five-year-old Floyd Gamble of Washington Park pleaded guilty last September to a charge of interference with commerce by violence.
Federal prosecutors say the holdup took place in November 2010 at a service station in Washington Park, where the driver had gone for fuel while members of the bachelor party were in a nearby nightclub.
Authorities allege that 23-year-old Kenneth Little pointed a gun at the driver, and 24-year-old Devon Alexander robbed the man of $1,000 after Gamble Jr. hit him.
Little has been sentenced to 12 years in prison. Alexander remains a fugitive.
