Romney has best blend of record, ideas
With the Iowa caucus coming close, the Republican GOP race looks like a two-horse race between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. I support Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination because Mitt Romney has the leadership for being a president.
In 1999, the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics was on the verge of collapse due to a bid-rigging scandal. This scandal caused sponsors to flee and the budget to go into debt. Then, the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, months before the start date, created a security nightmare and everyone was afraid. This is where Mitt Romney stepped in. He revamped the organization’s leadership, trimmed the budget, and restored public confidence. He oversaw an unprecedented security mobilization to assure the safety of the athletes and millions of international visitors. All of this hard work led to one of the most successful games ever held on U.S. soil.
Mitt Romney is an advocate for creating jobs in America. Currently, many foreigners educated in the U.S. are returning to their home countries instead of staying in America. Mitt’s idea is to give foreigners with advanced degrees in selective areas permanent residency in America. Instead of these jobs leaving the U.S., the knowledge, ideas, and jobs (and including new jobs) will remain in the U.S.
Mitt’s other idea to create jobs is to reduce the amount of government regulations on all businesses. The savings created can be used by the companies to invest and hire new workers.
With Mitt’s leadership, his public service experience, and job creation and pro — business attitude, he will make the perfect president.
